We’ve previously charter a lot out of the Western Isles and travelling to the West Coast of Scotland is an adventure in itself.
It is a great opportunity to spend time thinking about what lies ahead or talking over the adventure you have just shared.
Obviously your travel plans will be determined by where you are coming from but here are some ideas for getting to and from the vessel; if using public transport it is well worth booking in advance for the best fares.
Lady of Avenel is easily recognised and she will dock at the new marina near the North Pier, see this Google Map.

By Road to Scotland
The road journey is a great experience, especially once you get beyond Glasgow and into the Highlands but make sure you allow time to rest; it is a long drive for one person.
In Oban – an example port where the Lady of Avenel may pick you up. Oban is a great place, a real hub of trains, buses and ferries to all the Hebridean Islands. It is an old fishing port with a harbour sheltered by the island of Kerrera so if your travel arrangements mean you have time there you will find plenty to do and see. If you need to stay a night there is lots of accommodation of all kinds
