Set off sea kayaking from the Lady of Avenel and experience crystal clear waters, untouched landscapes, beaches and coves. The sights you’ll see from our trips will beat most – we can get you to some of the most remote areas of Scotland due to us being a ship that can carry your sea kayaking or hired sea kayaking equipment (usual with a trained instructor on board as part of the package), away from the beaten track.
We will drop you off for however long you need to explore and be ready on the ship’s VHF radio for you to communicate what you’d like for supper and when you’d like to finish your exploration – supper is eaten, as always, in the comfort of a warm, sheltered and large ship’s saloon.
Sea Kayaking is an usual thing to do from a boat and a unique chance to explore places that are otherwise hard-to-reach. We’ve joined up with local guides and companies to offer you with a safe and exciting adventure with equipment included if necessary.
The west coast Scotland offers wild locations such as the Isle of Harris and its clear waters, the Isle of Barra, St Kilda, you can circumnavigate the islands of Raasay and Rona and also Uist. Miles of rocky, sometimes, sandy unexplored coastlines of islands are waiting to be sighted and the adventure will become yours. Paddling past sea lochs and walking the hills above them, sea kayaking is a great extra activity alongside sailing.
This is a very popular activity for the Lady of Avenel and we successfully run trips regularly off the West Coast of Scotland throughout July and August.
